Magic Kingdom!

While I know there are so many neat places to visit and learn about (and they are all on our family bucket list!), I have to be honest here: I have dreamed about the day my little girls met the princesses.  There were many times throughout our Disney day I felt a lump in my throat, watching the kids just marvel at how real it all was.  To them, it was huge!  It was to me, too.

The Magic Kingdom traditional photo!  :)
Our beautiful birthday girl, Layla, on her FIFTH birthday!
Meeting Cinderella!

Meeting Sleeping Beauty!

Lots of people watching.  It was busy, but not nearly as busy as it can be/usually is.  We didn't have to wait more than 30 minutes or so for anything, and we were able to find each other throughout the park, etc.  The weather was absolutely perfect, at about 65 degrees and sunny.
Meeting Daisy!  Charlie was on the other side meeting Pluto and Donald Duck.  (I need to get the photos off of Dallas's phone, but he was there and having just as much fun!)

Meeting Minnie Mouse!

The "waiting area" for the Dumbo ride.  This was ingenious!  You took a pager, similar to a restaurant, and they beeped you when it was "your turn to fly."
Dumbo - Charlie's favorite.

Eating lunch in Belle's castle, at Be Our Guest.  We sat in the beast room.  The girls were not a fan!  They could hardly eat their food, as they were afraid of the beast coming out (never did), but we walked around the castle, the food was fantastic, and it was a great experience.
Belle's ballroom, the main dining room.

Belle's cottage back there, with the boys looking into the stream.

Ruby was absolutely wonderful!  She is such a trooper, and loved all the action.
Swiss Family Robinson treehouse.

Checking out how they get the water to the top.

This is Charlie's kind of house!
Riding the magic carpet.

On the Jungle Safari.

Jungle Cruise.
We had an excellent Belle experience.  We went into her cottage, walked through the rooms, then the mirror "came to life." We walked through it into the room where the talking wardrobe was.  "Jobs" were assigned so we could play out the love story of Beauty and the Best.  Maleah was the pepper.  :)  After practicing, we went into Belle's library, where Luminar told us the story.  When he began to talk of Belle, she swung open the doors and came in.  The kids were in awe!  They danced throughout the room with her, got a special card and bookmark, and were able to talk with her.  It was fantastic!!

As the night went on, it just got more fun!  Everything was lit up, and we were able to walk through rides.  One of our favorites was "the people mover."  We just sat in a little roller coaster like car, but it went straight through the different rides and over top the park, through Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear, etc.  It was super neat.
Meeting Rapunzel!

Charlie was so over the princesses.  Poor boy with three sisters.  :)  This picture cracks me up!!
Meeting Snow White!
This picture melts my heart.  She is looking at Dallas with a "wow, Daddy!" look.  Precious.

The castle at night.  Beautiful!

We stayed for the fireworks show, which was absolutely awesome!  The fireworks were choreographed to music.  It was incredible!

Great, great, great ending to a wonderful day!
So many photos, but these were all moments I never want to forget.  It was a "magical" day; one that I am so grateful for.

  1. I simply adore how Layla is cozied up to each princess with her head on them. I can just see how she's grinning ear-to-ear looking up at Cinderella!
